Brenau Summer Dance Intensive is two weeks of rigorous dance training for dancers ages 15-23 occuring May 31-June 14, 2025. The program will focus on Modern, Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary technique, Ballroom, Variations, Pas de Deux, Yoga, Pilates, Men’s Class, Pointe, West African Dance, Nutrition for Dancers, Acting/Singing, and Repertory.
During the two weeks, dancers will rehearse repertory and new works by established and emerging local, national, and regional professional dance artists to be performed in a showcase at the John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts on Brenau’s Historic Campus in Gainesville, Georgia, in the afternoon of Saturday, June 14, 2025.
All classes and auditions will be held at Brenau East Studios: 1001 Chestnut Street, Gainesville, GA 30501, and the Schrader Athletic Center at 800 Washington St. SE Gainesville, GA 30501.

Scholarship and Placement Audition Information
Scholarship and Placement Auditions for the Summer Dance Intensive are as follows:
- Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, 8 – 10 a.m. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, 9 – 11 a.m. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, 11 a.m. –1 p.m. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.
To audition, you must attend one of the above audition dates. To RSVP, please complete the Summer Dance Audition Form.
You may also choose to submit a video audition for scholarships and placement in the program. You may submit your video via a link through YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive, or Mail Drop at summerdance@brenau.edu.

Tuition and Fees Schedule
Participants may choose to commute or live on campus. Commuter students receive lunch daily and residential students receive all meals.
Residential (Room and Board; Meals) Tuition: $2000.00
Commuter Fee (Lunch/Dinner included): $1850.00
Registration & Deposit: $350 (due upon registration)
Payment plan due dates (Note: The installment plan is a schedule, but the individual can make arrangements on alternative ways to pay with the department):
- Initial Deposit due upon registration – $350.00
- 1st installment due December 2024 – $350.00
- 2nd installment due February 2025 – $350.00
- 3rd installment due March 2025 – $400.00
- 4th installment due April 2025 – $400.00
- 5th installment due May 15, 2025 (Final Payment)- $150.00

Facilities
Brenau Dance features 7 Dance Studios equipped with Marley-covered sprung floors, pianos, a Pilates lab, male and female dressing rooms, and a surround sound system. Residence hall accommodations include laundry facilities. The dining hall is located in close proximity to the residence hall. Resident advisors supervise each residence hall floor, and facilities are monitored.
