Two goals by junior forward Madison Kitson and a strong defensive performance by the Golden Tigers back line propelled the squad to a 2-0 upset over #2 seeded Spartanburg Methodist in the 2026 AAC Women`s Soccer Tournament on Tuesday.

The squad advances to the semifinals on Saturday.

Izzy Martinez is Brenau`s Player of the Week! Martinez stepped into goal and made 10 saves in Brenau`s win against Montreat, including one high difficulty acrobatic save from distance to keep the win late in the game. She also had a great performance in a scoreless draw against Reinhardt making 6 high level saves. She ended the week with 16 saves and no goals against the Tigers.

Izzy was also named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week by the conference yesterday!

At the University of the South Relay meet she swam on the 200 free B relay (4th). She swam the 1st leg of the 200 fly relay, splitting 27.79, which is the fastest AAC time in the 50 fly so far this year. The fly relay went a 1:50.76 to win the event. Francesca was also part of the 200 medley relay which placed 2nd at the meet (1:52.57). That relay currently has the fastest time in the event in the NAIA by over 2.5 seconds.

Robyn had 11 kills, only one error and hit .526 against Bluefield. She also added a team high 5 blocks while earning 7 kills and hitting .200 against Pikeville.
