Full Time BSN applicants for Fall 2008: We are very excited about your interest in completing your nursing education at Brenau University. The Admissions and Progressions Committee has been doing preliminary reviews of the applications. We will be making our final decisions later this month. Expect the letters to start going out with the good news mid-April. Thank you again for your interest in Brenau and we hope to see you here this August. |

Home page of the Nursing Department
The mission of Brenau University is to "prepare students to live extraordinary lives. Grounded in liberal education and based on individual and social equity, the Brenau experience leads to intellectual and professional accomplishment, inspires appreciation for artistic expression, encourages a commitment to service, and increases global understanding and personal integrity."
The Department of Nursing re-located to a newly renovated space in August. We share a building with a children“s museum and a manufacturing development center. This space, the Featherbone Communiversity, has a goal of offering an "evolutionary way of learning", of providing "a community-wide forum for people to explore their diversity, discover their commonalities and together imagine a better future for their families and their environment."
This place resonates so well with the educational experiences our nursing majors receive. Whether they are participating in a health fair sponsored by a local church, providing health education to children in local schools and youth detention centers, or traveling to the Yucatan Peninsula to learn about the health care system in another country, our students are learning through their service. They are building relationships, gaining experience in applying scientifically based interventions, and learning the art of caring.
