Getting a product to a customer takes planning, coordination, and people who can respond when something goes wrong. A late delivery can leave a store without stock or a production team waiting for materials.

At Brenau University, the Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics & Supply Chain Management prepares you to understand how those decisions connect. You’ll study inventory, transportation, and operations while learning to direct a workforce, reduce waste, and keep customer needs in view.

What you’ll study

Your coursework combines a business foundation with specialized study in logistics and supply chain management.

Business core: 42 credit hours

Study accounting, economics, finance, marketing, information systems, and management. Courses including business statistics, organizational behavior, international business, and value chain management help you connect operational decisions with the wider business. The core also includes a Business Capstone.

Specialized major courses: 18 credit hours

You’ll take six specialized courses:

Connect coursework with the workplace

What happens when a shipment doesn’t arrive, or a machine stops working? In faculty-led discussions, you’ll consider how managers can adjust the work while accounting for employees, deadlines, and customers.

You’ll also examine differences between managing products and services. Unsold inventory may remain available for another day. An empty airline seat or unbooked hotel room represents an opportunity that expires.

Industry speakers bring workplace experience into these conversations. Business visits help students see operations firsthand and learn about roles they might not have considered.

Dr. Keith Boyd

Dr. Keith Boyd serves as an assistant professor of management and leadership. Keith holds a Ph.D. in Human Capital Development from the University of Southern Mississippi, Master of Public Administration, and Bachelor of General Studies (Business and Urban Society) from the University of New Orleans. He also has a Master of Human Resource Management and Master of Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Admissions Requirements

Freshman Admissions Requirements (Online & On-Ground)

Successful completion of high school curriculum at a regionally accredited school
Minimum 2.5 GPA in core classes (math, science, social studies, foreign language, literature) — not cumulative
Brenau does not require SAT or ACT scores to make an admissions decision.
All home schooled applicants will be asked to complete an interview.
