The October edition of Brenau Insight: Conversations with the President features Emily Kalmink, Brenau University’s new volleyball director. She oversees the university’s indoor and beach volleyball programs.
Kalmink comes to Brenau from Tusculum University in Greenville, Tennessee, where she was the head coach of the beach volleyball team. On the podcast, she talks about her background as a student-athlete and coach, and what it takes to succeed while balancing academic and competitive responsibilities.
Brenau’s indoor volleyball team is off to a great start, entering October with a 12-4 record to start the fall season. Also, junior Ksenija Sokic earned Appalachian Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week in early September.
