How the BCCPS works
Anyone interested in counseling services can contact one of the clinics at 770-297-5959 (Gainesville-Historic Campus), (470) 941-6028 (Gainesville-Ivester House), or 470-228-8942 (North Atlanta). After providing basic information during the initial phone call, your assigned counselor will call to set up your initial appointment. You can reschedule or cancel appointments with 24-hour notice. All clinics provide primarily in-person appointments, though telemental health sessions can be scheduled if needed.
Costs
- Brenau students – no fee for intake appointment; $5 each session
- Faculty and alumni – $25 for intake appointment; $10 each session
- Community members – $25 for intake appointment; $20 each session
Who are the counselors?
Second-year graduate students enrolled in Brenau’s Lynn J. Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling serve as counselors. Psychologists or experienced Licensed Professional Counselors supervise the interactions between the counselors and clients.
