Wrapping up another successful year at Brenau

Brenau graduation ceremony

With the last day of classes on Nov. 26 and Finals Week complete, we have reached the end of the fall semester.

On Friday, Dec. 13, the Brenau community will come together to honor our fall graduates in a celebratory commencement ceremony. I like to think of the commencement ceremony as both an ending and a beginning.

At Brenau, we challenge students to lead extraordinary lives of personal and professional fulfillment. The ceremony celebrates the successful completion of a degree that leads students to the next chapter in their lives. What they choose to do with that degree is up to each student, but we have equipped them with the tools to be leaders in their communities.

The hard work and dedication of Brenau faculty and staff play a large role in helping students reach this achievement, and many of them are the first in their families to earn a degree. I appreciate the dedication of our faculty and staff in supporting our students every day.

On another note, I’d also like to thank our faculty and staff for achieving 100% giving to the university’s campus campaign for the 10th consecutive year. This is another way to show dedication to the mission of the university.

As we near the end of the year and a well-earned winter break, I hope the words of Brenau’s Ideal permeate the hearts and minds of all our Brenau community. I encourage you to be, do, and serve each other and our students.
