Brenau University will be closed from Nov. 26 to 28 to observe Thanksgiving.
As we prepare to gather with family and friends for the holiday, my heart is full of gratitude for the extraordinary Brenau community. I am deeply thankful for the privilege of serving as president and working alongside such a remarkably talented and dedicated group of people every day. The commitment of our faculty and staff, the energy of our students, and the loyalty of our alumni, trustees and friends are the foundation of Brenau’s strength and longevity.
I encourage all of Brenau’s students, faculty and staff to use this Thanksgiving break to recharge, come back focused, and finish this semester strong, with Finals Week set for Dec. 1-5 and the official end of the semester on Dec. 5. The Brenau community has worked hard this semester, and deserves a successful conclusion and a restful winter break.
I also offer my congratulations to the 279 students earning degrees this semester. I look forward to personally shaking the hands of all 185 graduates participating in our two ceremonies on Dec. 12 in Pearce Auditorium. It’s my favorite early gift to look out upon the audience and see the smiling faces of so many graduates and their proud families and friends.
May this Thanksgiving grant everyone at Brenau and across the communities where we live, work and study a peaceful respite with loved ones.
