This summer, I am pleased that Brenau has received $14,000 from three foundations to support our students through scholarships and grants. These funds include a $4,000 check from the Jackson EMC Foundation (pictured above) that will support a graduate student in our Lynn J. Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling setting up a peer support group for student parents at Brenau.
This financial support is just one example of how the community believes in and supports the good work of Brenau. It also illustrates how the university works together with community partners for the mutual benefit of the broader region. It shows what can be accomplished when all of us – students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, trustees, community members and friends of the university – work together toward the common goal of bettering the community.
Classes start Aug. 18, and that week is filled with activities to welcome our students as we start another successful fall semester.
Thank you for all you do for our students and Brenau University.
