An ice storm that caused classes and events to be canceled at Brenau University’s campuses through Monday, Jan. 26, left snow and ice on the Historic Gainesville Campus.
As of Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service Ice Storm Warning for north Georgia and metro Atlanta remains in effect through 10 a.m. Monday. A Cold Weather Advisory also remains in place through 10 a.m. Monday; Monday’s forecast in Gainesville is for sun with a high near 35 and northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
For Monday, online classes and assignments should continue as planned; however, students with circumstances such as power outages that prevent them from accessing courses should contact their instructor as soon as they are able.
