Brenau University is honoring military-affiliated employees and students this Veterans Day with a moment of silence and an American flag display.

“We want to acknowledge and celebrate our students and employees who have selflessly served our country, whether they served for a short time, a long time, or a lifetime,” Lisa Christopher, coordinator of academic success and military liaison, said. “Our flag display on Prior Street is in front of Owens Student Center, so students and commuters traveling through campus can enjoy and acknowledge our military-affiliated students.”

On Veterans Day, the Brenau community will honor all veterans with a moment of silence from 2:11-2:13 p.m. EST. American Flags are arranged on the lawn of Owens Student Center, representing all 262 military-affiliated students currently enrolled at Brenau.

Employee veterans were also honored internally with a gathering hosted by the administration, and were named to the November Employee Spotlight, which highlights an employee each month among faculty and staff.
