The Fest of Ale:

Brenau’s Department of Dance and the Atlanta Botanical Garden Collaborative

Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville ( 1911 Sweetbay Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30501)

Enjoy an evening of beautiful horticulture and dancing at the Fest of Ale Celebration, a collaboration of Brenau’s Department of Dance and the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville. Brenau dancers will perform among the garden’s Imaginary Worlds living plant sculptures, which include pandas, a trio of frogs, and a friendly ogre.

Admission to Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville, is $8 for adults, free for Botanical Garden members.

Brenau University’s Department of Dance and Department of Music are collaborating to celebrate the Celtic sounds of Ireland with an exciting concert filled with traditional music, singing, and dancing. This concert is a part of International Week celebrated across Brenau’s campus with lectures, workshops, food tasting, and so much more.

Free and open to the public.



Evening of Dance:
Student Choreography Concert Featuring Senior Thesis Work from Mary Rose Gibson

This engaging concert offers an array of choreographic styles and nuances from emerging choreographers from the Composition II course as well as sophisticated choreography from senior Mary Rose Gibson.

Tickets available at the door: general admission $7; seniors, children under 12, and college students with a valid ID $5. Free admission for Brenau faculty, staff, and students with a valid ID.






Brenau Holiday Concert

Monday, November 26

7:30 p.m.

Hosch Theatre, John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts

This collaboration will feature a presentation of Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols performed by Brenau’s Vocal Chamber Ensemble, directed by Bobby Ivey, and students from the Department of Dance, choreographed by Madia Cooper-Ashirifi. Other Christmas favorites will be performed by Spectrum Singers and the Cresswind Community Chorus, directed by Chuck Bridwell. Free and open to the public.




The Nutcracker

The Gainesville Ballet Company presents The Nutcracker, an annual Christmas tradition, at Brenau’s beautiful and historic Pearce Auditorium. Tickets $14-$20 for children, $20-$28 for adults and $16-$24 for seniors.
