Brenau Downtown Center, Pearce Auditorium and Brenau East Campus

The Department of Dance will host a two-day event for high school-aged dance students to immerse themselves in a variety of dance styles and lecture classes. Auditions for the program and talent-based scholarships will be held during the event. An adjudicated showing and choreographic competition will include monetary prizes for the top three innovative works. Classes will be offered on a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, West African dance, contact improvisation, ballroom and more. There will also be guest lectures for teachers and dancers on topics including dance/movement therapy.

Cost is $100 for participants. For more details and to register, visit brenau.edu/days-of-dance. The public is invited to attend the adjudicated concert with a $5 admission.

Brenau’s Dance and Music Departments celebrate the passionate and energetic sounds of the Dominican Republic with an exciting concert filled with traditional music, singing and dancing. This concert is a part of Brenau’s International Week featuring lectures, workshops, food and more.

Evening of Dance

The Department of Dance invites members of the community near and far to come and immerse themselves in choreographic works by Composition II dance majors, guest artists and faculty.

$7 general admission, $5 for seniors, children under 12, Brenau alumni and college students with valid ID, and free for Brenau faculty, staff and students with valid ID.





Breakin’ – Emerging Choreographers’ Concert

The Department of Dance presents an evening of creative ideas from dance majors exploring freely their choreographic voices. The concert will showcase works and works-in-progress from students and faculty.

Admission: $5. Free admission for Brenau students.





The Nutcracker

The Gainesville Ballet Company presents its 45th annual production of The Nutcracker. The ballet is a holiday tradition for many people in the Gainesville and larger Northeast Georgia community.
