Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science prepares students for careers in adult fitness, work site health promotion/corporate fitness, personal training, clinical exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation and other related fields. Preparation is also provided in fitness management, program management, sports skills development and enhancement, strength and conditioning and related topics. This degree program provides an excellent academic background for graduate study or for application to physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician’s assistant, medical school, sports medicine, public health and other health science professional programs.

Official College Transcripts from all schools attended, Official High School Transcript if less than 30 earned semesters hours at regionally accredited college

Admissions GPA Requirements

Freshman: 2.5 from High School Transcript; Transfer: 2.0 from all College transcripts

Additional Admissions Requirements

Applying as a New Brenau Student: Students not currently attending Brenau University must receive general admission to the University through the Office of Admissions. Students wishing to pursue a degree in Exercise Science must apply to the Health Science – Pre-Exercise Science Concentration major before they can be considered for acceptance into the Exercise Science program.

Applying as a Current Brenau Student: Students who are currently attending Brenau University may apply to the Exercise Science Program directly. Students must meet the following to be eligible for consideration into the program:
Be a current Brenau student with at least 45 earned credit hours.
Meet Brenau’s Liberal Education requirements and have completed the required foundation courses.
Have a minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Have a minimum Science GPA of 3.0.
