Bachelor of Arts in Dance

Brenau’s Bachelor of Arts in Dance educates and prepares students for success as creative artists, skilled technicians, scholars and independent thinkers in a supportive and challenging environment. Brenau’s Department of Dance emphasizes training in concert dance styles, providing a solid foundation in classical ballet and modern dance, supported by jazz technique. Courses in choreography, production, pedagogy, dance history, Pilates, repertory and courses related to the major will give a foundation and depth to students’ knowledge of the art form. Performing gives our students the background and experience to begin making works of their own. The B.A. Dance degree is designed to allow students to nurture and explore their interests in dance while developing their potential. Concentrations in Dance include: Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Physical Therapy, Advanced Dance, and Dance Pedagogy.

Admissions Documents Requirements

Official College Transcripts from all schools attended, Official High School Transcript if less than 30 earned semesters hours at regionally accredited college

Admissions GPA Requirements

Freshman: 2.5 from High School Transcript; Transfer: 2.0 from all College transcripts

Additional Admissions Requirements

All prospective dance majors must complete an audition form and attend a Dance Scholarship and Technique Placement Audition before enrolling.
