Brenau healthcare programs serve the community

My monthly podcast, Brenau Insight: Conversations with the President, enters its third season this month. The January 2026 episode is available via SoundCloud at this link and features Gale Starich, Ph.D., dean of the Ivester College of Health Sciences. You can also hear it broadcast on 89.1 WBCX, Brenau’s radio station.

Also, Brenau will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, for the federal observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and later this month we hold our Winter Convocation when we traditionally honor King’s legacy.

King is quoted as saying, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” This powerful call to action reminds us to focus daily on our impact, both on our campuses and in our wider communities where we live and work.

At Brenau, our faculty and staff are dedicated to the success of our students, ensuring they discover the best versions of themselves in the pursuit of extraordinary lives of personal and professional fulfillment. In turn, many of our graduates choose professions in healthcare, education and other vital fields, thereby serving our communities daily.

In the January podcast featuring Dr. Starich, you will hear more about how the faculty, staff, students and alumni of Brenau’s healthcare programs serve the community every day.
