This is the favorite time of year for students at Brenau – especially those finishing their degrees – and probably our faculty and staff!
Of course, we all look forward to summer, but in May we celebrate our graduates with a commencement ceremony. Many of our faculty and staff, myself included, are almost as proud of the graduates as their family members.
We are always excited to see them walk across the stage.

I always look forward to shaking the hands of graduates and offering them my congratulations. As president, I am honored to be part of this life-changing moment for them.
This is a great personal achievement for them, but it also represents the successful fulfillment of the mission of Brenau.
I congratulate all 324 students earning degrees this semester, including 126 bachelor’s degrees, 146 master’s degrees and 52 doctoral degrees.
These graduates, the university’s newest alumni, will go on to make a difference in the communities where they live and work. That is what I hope for each of Brenau’s 2025 graduates and why I join their families and friends in celebrating their achievement.
They represent the culmination of the university’s mission and are the very best of Brenau’s thriving future.
Congratulations to our graduates, and thank you to the faculty and staff for your hard work in helping our students achieve this milestone.
