Ralph Simpson is the director for the Career Development Office and brings over 22 years of experience in Career Counseling to Brenau. Previously, he worked at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina as an assistant vice chancellor, where he was credited with a $100,000 donation from Cisco Corporation and the opening of a centralized Business Closet. While at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, he achieved a job placement rate that placed the university among the top 10 among all Historically Black Colleges & Universities, secured a five-figure donation from JP Morgan Chase, and coached two National Fellowship winners (2016).

Simpson earned his bachelor’s in history from Tuskegee University, an MBA from Auburn University, and completed a Career Facilitator Course in 2010 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In his spare time, he served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring Association in Delaware for nine years. A lifetime member of the American Tennis Association, Simpson has won seven seven National Titles and earned a No. 1 USTA Ranking in Singles in Delaware (2006 and 2019) and Alabama (2001). Simpson was inducted into the Tuskegee’s Athletic Hall of Fame for Tennis in September 2022.
