Students learn cyanotype printing

A student pats a cyanotype dry

Brenau Galleries and the Office of Academic Affairs hosted Sips and Solar Prints this week.

The activity taught students about cyanotypes – a printmaking method using cyan dye, the sun, and objects to create a pattern.

Students could use items of personal significance, or items provided. Popular items were bamboo leaves, palm fronds, coins, buttons and flowers.

This event coincided with the Tokie Rome-Taylor exhibit on display in Leo Castelli Gallery.
