Kristina Radovic, an international student from Belgrade, Serbia, was named Brenau’s 2025-26 Baxter-Bryan Scholarship recipient. Radovic was recognized among her peers and classmates at Honors Convocation on Thursday, April 10.
“I am extremely grateful that a place like Brenau made me feel at home, even though I am so far away from my family,” Radovic said. “It has really shown me that it really doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, or what language you are speaking, or how far away from your family you are, as long as you have the right people around you, you can do great things.”
The award was established by Joe W. Baxter, who named the scholarship for his sister and Brenau alumna, Carfax Baxter, and friend, Morris Bryan Jr.
Radovic is a member of the tennis team and was awarded the Baxter-Bryan Scholarship shortly before the team left to compete in an out-of-town tournament. Radovic is a finance major in the honors program, and presented research at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research as a sophomore.
The Sidney O. Smith Jr. Scholarship was presented to the Baxter-Bryan runners-up, Emelia Askew and Ellie Kinlaw. The Provost Scholarship, which is awarded to the finalists for the Baxter-Bryan award, was given to Jessica Goodwin, Zoe Otto, Chloe Thorne and Sarah Wages.

- Mary Mildred Sullivan Award: Jaci Copeland
