Constitution Day

Constitution Day

Constitution Day is an American federal observance that celebrates the ratification of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. It is celebrated on Sept. 17, which is the same day that 39 delegates signed the document in Philadelphia in 1787. The Constitution contains a preamble and seven articles that outline the structure and operation of the U.S. government. The Constitution united the U.S. as a young country and granted the power of the union to the people.

Brenau University will celebrate Constitution Day by presenting an educational display in the Brenau Trustee Library and hosting a voter registration drive organized by the SGA on Sept. 17 from 11-1:30 p.m. in Yonah Lobby.
