College of Business and Communication hosts Business After Hours

Dr. Shatrela Washington-Hubbard speaks to the crowd at Business After Hours

Brenau’s College of Business and Communication hosted Business After Hours on Feb. 17 in the John W. Jacobs Jr. building. The event was co-sponsored by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber is dedicated to supporting a growing business environment and making a positive contribution to the community by serving as a voice for business in Hall County.

Students, faculty, staff, and community members were welcomed by Shatrela Washington-Hubbard, Ph.D., the Swinton A. Griffith III Dean of the College of Business and Communication. She highlighted the importance of the event for Brenau students.

“We are so excited to connect with small businesses in the community,” Washington-Hubbard said. “We are always looking for internships and learning opportunities for our students. We want to make sure that they have great experiences before they graduate.”

Business After Hours provided students the opportunity to network with local businesses and community members. Chamber President and CEO Tim Evans also spoke at the event.
