Among the breeze of autumn air and holidays to look forward to, the Northeast Georgia History Center is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with style and wisdom. Taking place during the final week of the celebratory month, students will explore how early settlers and ancient Mesoamerican cultures used oral storytelling to better understand the world around them. Students will also get the chance to meet Admiral David Farragut and rotate through hands-on activities that are dedicated to Hispanic communities and mountain settlers.
There will be two identical sessions on Oct. 15. The first session is at 10 a.m. The second session is at 11:30 a.m.
Free for members. Non-members will have to pay $10 for admission to the event.
