The Northeast Georgia History Center is hosting the second half of the 2026 Chautauqua Series: Marking the Gainesville Tornado event. The two-day event will host interpreter Steven Bartlett as a Civilians Conservation Corps worker, brought by President Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of the New Deal. The event will also include a presentation by the FDR Presidential Library and a performance by the Atlanta Historic Dance.
Registration is free for members, including the Brenau community. For non-members, registration is priced at $10.
