Mission
The Office of the Chaplain, as a part of Brenau Student Development and Engagement, exists to be a resource for all Brenau Students, faculty, staff and university constituents to nurture individual and shared spiritual awareness and growth, build community relations on and beyond the campus, and encourage service to others.
The Office of the Chaplain, and University Chaplain Rev. Andrea Corso Johnson, M.Div., work to achieve this mission by:
- Promoting an environment that welcomes all faiths and spiritual needs of the campus community.
- Working with students to promote their own moral, religious, emotional, and spiritual development and educational success.
- Contributing to the holistic development of students across communities through programs, events, leadership development, and membership.
- Offering interfaith programming as well support and leadership (as needed) for students and student religious organizations.
- Maintaining confidentiality in the navigation of sensitive situations.
- Supporting departmental or institutional projects and programs, including University events and traditions.
The Office of the Chaplain and the Brenau Spirituality program, led by Brenau’s University Chaplain, Rev. Andrea Corso Johnson, M.Div., serve as a free spiritual resource for all Brenau Students, Faculty, Staff, and all University constituencies.
All programming and events from the Office of the Chaplain, as part of the Brenau Spirituality program, will also be announced in Brenau This Week student newsletter and the Brenau Update faculty and staff newsletter. Additionally, flyers will be posted on bulletin boards all around campus.
