Celebrating our graduates with winter commencement

university president in official regalia congratulates and hands diploma to graduate

With the final day of the semester on Dec. 5 and graduation on Dec. 12, Brenau University has reached the end of the fall semester. This closing chapter brings with it the excitement of a new beginning for our newest alumni.

Our winter commencement program lists 279 students who are earning degrees. We expect 185 graduates to cross the stage in person to celebrate their hard-earned achievement in two ceremonies this month, and I’m honored to be able to congratulate each of them personally.

At Brenau, we challenge students to lead extraordinary lives, and the successful completion of a degree leads them directly to the next chapter in their lives. What they choose to do with that degree is up to each graduate, but Brenau has equipped them with the tools to build a thriving future for themselves and their communities.

I sincerely appreciate all of Brenau’s faculty and staff who support our students every day. Their hard work and dedication play a significant role in helping students achieve this goal. The support and personal investment provided by our faculty and staff are instrumental in the success of our students.

As we conclude the calendar year, I hope the words of the Brenau Ideal resonate deeply in the hearts and minds of everyone in the Brenau community. I encourage you to continue to be, do, and serve each other and our wider world, creating that thriving future, starting now.
