Mary Stevenson serves as the operations specialist for the Financial Aid Office, a position that combines her knowledge of research, organization, communication, and literal-brain thinking into an amalgamation of purpose. Behind-the-scenes operations most people take for granted are her realm of expertise, partly because the ‘behind-the-scenes’ aspect speaks to her quiet nature, and partly because she enjoys solving problems before others even notice that problems exist.
With a background in communication, legal studies, early childhood education, and photography, Mary blends art with analytics to ensure students receive their federal and state aid in as timely a manner as possible.
When not tackling spreadsheets or data reports, and when time permits, Mary can be found embracing her love of pottery, watercolor painting, photography, gardening, and mastering the art of crème brûlée (she acknowledges that the last one still needs a lot of work).
