Diamond Wood

Hi! I’m Diamond. I’m from Decatur, Georgia, and I’m a senior admissions counselor for incoming freshmen and transfer Health Science majors at Brenau University. I recruit in middle Georgia (Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fulton, Paulding) and in New York. I am excited to work with you throughout your admissions process, answering any questions you may have! My goal is to help you reach beyond the stars. Even if you’re undecided on a major, I’m here to help guide you. 

I graduated from The Women’s College at Brenau University with a bachelor’s in health science (clinical sciences) and a minor in conflict resolution and legal studies. The best thing about Brenau is you can major in one field while minoring in another, and take on multiple leadership opportunities related to your field. With my minor in conflict resolution, I was a part of Brenau’s Mediation Team. We were able to practice our mediation skills, as well as our advocate/attorney skills, in competition across the United States. 

I was also involved in the Student Government Association, the Brenau University Step Team, and the Black Student Association. By staying involved on campus, I was able to meet many lifelong friends. Our favorite places on campus to hang out were the dance studios, during step team or dance team practice, and we enjoyed grabbing food in the Tea Room. I can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful campus, and help you become a Golden Tiger!
