Since before I went to college, through starting my position at Brenau University, I made websites. I installed every bulletin board system, CMS, web gallery and forum I could find to see how they worked. I didn’t have any profound message. I built them because I was excited about their potential.

I earned bachelor’s degrees in digital media and studio art from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art. After completing my degrees, I spent a few years living on a farm outside of Springfield, Kentucky as an itinerant web designer and jack-of-all-trades.

I moved to Bloomington, Indiana in 2006, where I worked for a music manufacturing brokerage. I worked with clients to turn their master recordings and artwork files into tangible music products. When it all went right, it felt like making dreams come true.

In 2012 I joined Brenau University, building and maintaining the university’s websites. That grew into overseeing social media and eventually the role of Director of Digital Marketing & Webmaster. When it all goes right, it also feels like making dreams come true.

In my spare time I wonder how I got spare time and listen to podcasts about UFOs, ancient mystics and interdimensional sasquatch.
