Dr. Daniel Maddox serves as Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the Brenau DPT program. He has been licensed as a physical therapist since 2008 and has served in multiple capacities within the profession over the years as a clinician, administrator, and educator. His primary teaching responsibilities in the program are in areas related to clinical reasoning, musculoskeletal management, and the practical integration of pain science into patient care. He has also been heavily involved in post-professional education at multiple levels (residency, fellowship, and continuing education) since 2013 and oversaw a fellowship program in orthopaedic manual physical therapy as program director for nine years. He is an active member of both the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) and has served in multiple service and leadership roles within both organizations. Dr. Maddox is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), and holds a certification as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS). He has been published multiple times in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at multiple state and national conferences. In his personal life, Daniel is a proud husband and father of two. He loves to travel, camp, and mountain bike with his family, and he is a dedicated runner and overall fitness enthusiast.
