Hi, I’m Kelsey Podo, Brenau’s assistant director of marketing content. I’m responsible for creating and planning written, video and photo content for Brenau’s main social media platforms, as well as our website and internal marketing materials.
If you find yourself out and about on campus, you might see me interviewing students, taking photos at an event or even filming a recent TikTok trend with my team of wonderful interns. My main goal as Brenau’s content creator is to shine light on what makes Brenau special through the experiences and stories of the students, faculty and staff who breathe life into this institution.
Before venturing into marketing, I graduated from Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s in mass communication and then dove headfirst into serving as a reporter for The Cherokee Scout in Murphy, North Carolina. I later made my way to Gainesville, Georgia, where I worked for another three years as a reporter and features editor for The Gainesville Times. While there, I also wrote a column that highlighted local craft beer and the brewmasters behind the tasty concoctions.
When I’m not making content for Brenau, you can find me crafting resin polyhedral dice for my favorite game – Dungeons and Dragons – or enjoying the weirdest beer on tap at a local brewery with my husband and dearest friends.
