Perry Daughtry, Ph.D.

I earned a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Northcentral University. My current research interests are: time perspective and job satisfaction, judgements of a person based on attire and ethnicity, and pet attachment and mental health symptoms. I have taught a variety of courses including: Introduction to psychology, principles of learning, history and systems, sports psychology, psychology of the workplace, workplace motivations, and honors seminar on the philosophy of science.
In addition to teaching I am the faculty sponsor for the Brenau University psychology club (PsyClub). As the faculty sponsor I get the joy of collaborating with our students in a variety of events activities including: facilitating a variety a psychology related activities at local high schools, GetPsychED@Brenau (an event that has hosted over 1500 visiting high school student in the ten years since its inception), working pet vaccine clinics with the Humane Society of Northeast Ga, and fund raising for the Edmonson Telford Child Advocacy Center.
Most of my personal time I spend with my dog, B.F. Skinner. We used the principles of operant conditioning, researched by B.F. Skinner, to keep him a leash-wise and well behave dog.
