Dhruba Banjade, Ph.D.

Dr. Dhruba Banjade is the Department Chair of Business Analysis and Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Business and Communication (CBC) at Brenau University. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and academic leadership, he brings a rich, global, and interdisciplinary perspective to his role. Before joining Brenau, he held academic and research positions at the University of Texas at Arlington, serving as a lecturer and post-doctoral research associate. His earlier roles include Associate Professor and Department Head of Electrical Engineering at Nepal Engineering College, and Visiting Associate Professor at Kathmandu University, one of Nepal’s leading institutions.

Dr. Banjade earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he began teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses in 2016. His diverse academic background includes a Master’s in Computer Engineering from Nepal College of Information Technology and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (with honors) from UET, Taxila, Pakistan. He also completed a research fellowship at Sannio University in Italy and worked on energy and infrastructure projects in Nepal.

Dr. Banjade teaches a range of finance and economics courses and presents research at conferences like FMA and SWFA. His interests include ESG, corporate finance, forecasting, and AI in finance. He enjoys travel, reading, and community service.
