The Boyt Schell Visiting Occupational Science Scholar Lectureship Series is welcomes Dr. Mary C. Lawlor, ScD, OTR/L, FAOTA, Associate Chair of Research and professor at the University of Southern California Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy to present on the topic of Cultivating Therapeutic Partnerships. We often speak about the art and science of occupational therapy practice. This rather straightforward phrase perhaps disguises the inherent complexity of the work which encompasses both ordinary and extraordinary aspects of living and learning in everyday life. Lawlor will draw on ethnographic and narrative phenomenological research, as well as occupational science, to discuss the centrality of our relationships with the people who engage with us in occupational therapy and our commitments to cultivating impactful partnerships that promote healing, connectedness, and understanding.

This event is free and open to the public.

Health Care professionals can obtain a certificate for 1.5 contact hours of continuing education.
