Your body is a vessel for your mind. In order for your mind to be at its best and achieve the greatness you are capable of, you must take care of your whole self.
- Take care of your body. Your physical health is important to staying on top of your studies.
- Brenau’s Fitness Center is open to students, alumni, faculty, staff, board members and trustees of Brenau University. The Fitness Center features aerobic exercise machines, Cybex weight equipment, gymnasium and swimming pool with showers, dressing and locker rooms for women and men.
- The Downtown Center also houses a small gym and hosts a variety of classes such as yoga, Tai Chi, and mindful meditation under the Brenau Life Enrichment & Wellness Cooperative.
- The Center for Health & Well-Being has a FREE, walk-in clinic for students enrolled at Brenau University and faculty/staff members. The clinic is staffed by a nurse practitioner and CMA to assess, diagnosis and treat the most common medical conditions.

- Get plenty of sleep. Lack of sleep wears down your physical and mental health.
- Understand that homesickness is normal.
- Don’t ignore your mental health.
- Emotional well-being is an important aspect of wellness and Brenau offers counseling services. Through the Center for Health & Well-Being, Brenau offers the services of an in-house counselor.
- In addition, the Brenau Center for Counseling & Psychology Services offers discounted counseling services for students, staff, and faculty.
