Coming to college can be an exciting experience, but trying to find the right one for you can be a little stressful. Every college and university has a different way of doing things. That is why in this article we will be answering the most frequently asked questions you may have about Brenau University. Here are some of these questions and their answers:

How do I begin the application process?

Simply go to https://www.brenau.edu/apply and have your official high school transcript sent to:

What are the application deadlines?

Brenau offers rolling admissions so you can apply anytime. Keep in mind that it generally takes 7-10 business days to determine admissibility once a file is complete. Allow enough time to complete this process before the beginning of the semester in which you intend to enroll.

What do I need to do to be considered for admission to Brenau?

All applications are reviewed for admissions based on a number of factors including but not limited to a grade point average , rigor of coursework and community and school involvement.

Does Brenau offer any academic scholarships?

Brenau evaluates all daytime undergraduate applications for academic scholarship. There is no additional application necessary. You will be notified if you have received a scholarship when you get your acceptance letter. 

When should I apply for financial aid?

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available in October of each year for the academic year that begins with the next fall term. It should be completed as early as possible after you have applied to the University. Keep in mind that you must be accepted to the University before you can be awarded financial aid. Go online to www.fafsa.gov to apply. Brenau University’s federal school code is 001556.

When is the financial aid deadline?

The financial aid deadline for each semester is one month before the beginning date of the semester.

Does Brenau accept GED’s and technical prep diplomas?

Yes, Brenau welcomes GED and tech prep diplomas. With a GED we require an official copy of the GED certificate in a sealed envelope.
