Doctor of Physical Therapy
The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) curriculum is a three year, nine (9)-semester plan of study, which incorporates 30 weeks of full-time clinical internship and three weeks of integrated part-time clinical experiences. The students are awarded the DPT degree after completing 128 credit hours of professional course work. Brenau has partnered with the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville to provide our students with early immersion in the clinical setting. In their second semester of the program, students will be part of a hospital mobility team allowing patient interaction and interdisciplinary exposure. Client-centered and interdisciplinary, Brenau’s innovative physical therapy program focuses on experiential learning. The DPT program begins in Summer semester.
