Gainesville Theatre Alliance presents ‘Pippin’

As part of the 2019-20 season, the Gainesville Theatre Alliance will be performing Pippin, the story of one man’s journey to be extraordinary, from Feb. 11-22 in Hosch Theatre.

The young prince Pippin, heir to the Frankish throne, goes in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. A traveling troupe, led by Leading Player — played by Brenau junior Zafyre Sexton — guides Pippin through adventures of war, politics and love. In the end, Pippin reveals that happiness lies in the ordinary moments that happen every day.

Other Brenau cast members include junior Olivia Pelton as Fastrada and Rachel Finazzo as Catherine.

Music is by four-time Grammy winner and three-time Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz. Gainesville Theatre Alliance is a nationally acclaimed collaboration between Brenau University, the University of North Georgia, Theatre Professionals and the Northeast Georgia Community.
