The Brenau Student Activities Board attended the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities Southeast Regional Planning Conference in Nashville, TN this past weekend. Student Activities Board sends delegates to this conference each year to preview available programs and performers, network with other colleges and universities, and attend educational sessions. This year, the delegates were in for a great surprise as their names were called during the awards dinner at the conclusion of the conference. Brenau was awarded “Event of the Year” for the entire Southeast region. The award winning event was the World Mental Health Day event held on October 10. This event featured an open mic hour for students to express themselves through poetry or song, a performance from well known spoken word artist Neil Hilborn, and Gay Baldwin introducing herself and the counseling services she provides. Student Activities Board works hard to provide high quality programs and events, and it was a well deserved accolade to honor their efforts.
