Master of Science in Nursing - Nurse Educator

The nursing education major is designed to prepare the nurse with advanced clinical nursing knowledge as well as education knowledge and skills. The student will have advanced preparation in nursing theory, research, pathophysiology, physical assessment, pharmacology and at least one clinical specialty. The graduate will be prepared with the knowledge and skills to teach nursing in the classroom, the clinical setting and online. This course of study is designed to prepare the student for matriculation into a PhD program in nursing. Students take two courses each semester including two summer semesters. The MSN program begins in Fall only. Applications must be submitted by June 1st.

Additional Admissions Requirements

BSN from accredited nursing program, nursing GPA of 3.0, undergraduate courses in physical assessment and research methods, minimum of one year of full-time work experience in nursing within the past five years, interview upon request
