While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Brenau, you’ll receive in-depth knowledge of biology, chemistry and physics in a laboratory setting. Brenau’s faculty will work closely with you to ensure that you’re mastering the material and can apply it to your future career. You may choose from one of three concentrations: biomedical science, pre-physical therapy or pre-professional healthcare, and take courses tailored specifically to your interests and goals. The Bachelor of Science in Biology prepares students to further their education by attending medical school, dental school or physical therapy school and gives you the skills you need to jump straight into the workforce.

Student opportunities 

  • Take part in a study abroad program to the Yucatan, Panama or Costa Rica to learn about the area and it’s native organisms 
  • Work directly with your peers and faculty members in small group settings in Brenau’s science labs 
  • Utilize Brenau’s Human Anatomy Lab to further your understanding of the human body 
  • Complete independent research prior to graduation and present it at Brenau’s Research Symposium 
  • Assist faculty members on their research projects 
  • Take specific courses such as genetics, ecology, zoology, kinesiology or others that match your interests
