Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting
The B.F.A. degree in Acting offers students pre-professional training in acting and other performance related art forms, enabling students to build a vibrant, imaginative, and intellectual life for themselves in the discipline of theatre. The acting program is comprised of 120 semester hours of classroom training and focuses on intensive practical application within the main stage and other productions. Students take courses ranging from such areas as contemporary and period styles of acting, stage combat, voice and diction, movement, and other areas that give them breadth and flexibility in their course of study. Students are reminded that all majors will demonstrate oral and written communication competency within the context of specified writing and/or speech intensive courses in the major. Students must earn a grade of C or higher in all major courses.

Freshman: 2.75 from High School Transcript; Transfer: 2.0 from all College transcripts
Additional Admissions Requirements
All prospective theatre majors must complete an audition form and attend an Audition before enrolling.
