Martis Ferguson
Brenau was very welcoming. I never had any issues in school, when I needed help. Brenau has a very good reputation in the community. While we were working in the hospital (Northeast Georgia Medical Center), for clinicals they always thought very highly of Brenau nursing students because most of the nurses at the hospital went to Brenau. I’ve always wanted to help people, and my goal as a nurse is to help people in their most vulnerable times.

The faculty and my cohort were extremely supportive beyond the academic aspects of it. They were just emotionally supportive. Everything you needed, they were there. That was the best part of going here. This is the first degree that I have where I can go straight into working, and I’m just super excited to get out into the workforce and contribute to society.

I’m a very timid person. I’m introverted and not outspoken. At Brenau, I had certain instructors that really molded me and encouraged me. They nurtured me and built that self-esteem. They pushed me out of that shell to make me who I am today, which gave me the courage to open my own practice.
Dinesh Lamba
I’m a physician from India, and I came into this country in 2004 to pursue a master’s in public health. My first job was to teach CNAs to pass the CNA exam. From there I ventured into working with health insurance. And then I said, 'I came here to practice medicine, let me get back to looking at options.' I was looking into programs, and this fell into my lap. I love my professors and the faculty at Brenau. Everybody has an open door policy. It’s not just me, it’s the entire class. We feel like our professors are invested in our success.
