Denise Eads ’04, of Conyers, Ga.,
Nursing Supervisor, Newton General Hospital & Assistant Nursing Coordinator for a free medical clinic
My experience with Brenau University’s online RN-BSN program was very positive. It has had a very rewarding effect on my life in the time since I completed my BSN. After graduating, I assumed an administrative role at the hospital where I was employed while a Brenau student. I was asked to help plan and organize a free medical clinic in the community where I work, and we opened the doors September 14th! In spite of having few face-to-face encounters with my instructors and peers during the course of the program, relationships were established that have had, and will continue to have, unquestionably beneficial effects on my professional and personal life for years to come.
R. Craig Evans ’02, ’04, of Gainesville, Ga.,
Quality Assurance Manager, Stork Food System
Craig Evans stopped going to college during his senior year, had begun a family, and traveled with his job. After seven years, he knew he needed to complete his 4-year degree. “I chose Brenau over my previous school because I found the faculty and staff more ‘customer-oriented,’ Brenau had an excellent reputation, and the campus was close to home. After a few on-campus classes, I tried an online class and enjoyed the convenience it offered.” Evans opened a factory in Virginia Beach, commuting from Gainesville weekly, and says he was successful because of online classes. When he decided to complete a Master’s degree, Brenau was at the top of his list, and he completed the program online. “I had teachers from all over the country, who offered different perspectives for the subject matter. It was also nice having classmates from all over the US as well. The flexibility of the online format is really what sold me. All I needed was an internet connection and I was ‘in class.’ “
