The proclamation states that Brenau University is “a key and valued institution in the city.” Hixson said that Brenau’s mission of providing students with extraordinary lives is in line with the city’s mission to provide a place to imagine.

The North Atlanta campus, which is located in Norcross, currently serves over 400 students but Dr. Schrader hopes to grow that number. Both he and Hixson see the need for higher education in the north Atlanta area and agree that Brenau is key in filling the role.
