Brenau Signs West Hall High School’s Olivia Davis to Golf Team

January 17, 2014

Olivia Davis of Flowery Branch, Ga., signed a letter of intent to continue her golf career at Brenau University making her Brenau’s first golf signee for the 2014-15 season.

“Brenau has exactly what I have imagined I’ve wanted in a college,” said Davis. “The girls at Brenau are friendly and I feel like I will fit right in. The Brenau golf team got my attention because it is a new and growing program with a coach that I am familiar with. I am excited to start at Brenau this fall.”

Davis has played in over 24 Georgia State Golf Association tournaments and has received numerous accolades, including being named an All-Area team member and a Region 8 AAA Honorable Mention selection.

A versatile athlete, Davis was a four-year member of the West Hall volleyball team and a three-time recipient of the West Hall High School Scholar-Athlete Award.

“Olivia will fit perfectly into what I want my team to be as we continue to grow,” said Damon Stancil, Brenau’s head golf coach. “She works hard, has excellent technique, and is an outstanding student athlete with great character.  I’m confident she will uphold the Brenau ideal during her time as a Golden Tiger.”
