Classes on Brenau´s Gainesville, Norcross, Fairburn and Augusta campuses have been cancelled for Wednesday, Jan. 12, due to continuing hazardous winter weather conditions for commuters. Although faculty and staff were urged to report after noon on Wednesday, icy conditions persisted on campus in Gainesville and the Atlanta area, and business operations were cancelled for the rest of the day late Wednesday morning.

University officials said they expected normal operations to resume on Thursday, if conditions improve. Officials said they will communicate to faculty, staff and students through normal channels and the media if there is any change. Although roads leading to the campuses are becoming more passable and staff members were urged to report at noon if it was safe for them to commute, icing on parking lots and approaches to administrative areas remained a problem Wednesday morning.

Academic calendars for deadlines that occur this week will be adjusted, as necessary, and posted by the Office of the Provost after normal business operations resume.
