The 18 foot tall signs, representing Brenau University’s four portals of education which the Brenau curriculum is based, were installed Wednesday, June 26 at the Downtown Center. A bank of lights installed behind the vinyl banner signs will be illuminated, giving even more light to the Downtown Center’s entrance off the Square in downtown Gainesville.

The arena portion of the former Georgia Mountains Center has been remodeled into a two-story facility that will house the university’s graduate programs in the health sciences like physical therapy.

The theater is still open for public use and will continue to be a prominent venue for groups like the Georgia Theatre Alliance and the John Jarrard Foundation. Shows are scheduled at Brenau’s Theatre On The Square throughout the summer.

Construction in the former arena is still underway. The HVAC system and emergency sprinklers  are being installed while walls for classrooms, workspaces and storage are being framed on the first floor. The facility will soon take shape as drywall is added, windows installed and the layout of the facility becomes distinguishable.
