Golden Tigers Basketball Earns First Win of the Season

The Brenau basketball team earned a 78-48 victory in a non-conference game agianst Montreat College of North Carolina Friday.
The Golden Tigers raced out to an 11-0 early lead with early baskets from Dominique Patrick and Claire Zimmerman, but the Cavaliers narrowed the gap to 46-35 at the half.
In the second half, the Golden Tigers found their stride behind ten second-half-points from Maegan Kenimer. Brenau outscored Montreat 32-13 in the second half to secure their first win of the season.
Kenimer’s ten points was a career high for the sophomore post, who also added six rebounds. Kalin Williams led all scorers with 13 points, while Patrick added 11 points. Zimmerman also chipped in 11 points and freshman Autumn Dodson added 12.
