Sixty-two new students took their first leap into college life on Monday by registering for their first semester classes during the first of Brenau’s early registration events. After speaking with orientation leaders and conferring one-on-one with faculty members in their intended fields of study, the incoming students finalized their schedules for the fall semester.

“The students took a big step forward in registering for their first semester of college,” said Vice President of Student Services Amanda Lammers who welcomed the students inside the Hosch Theater. “It is always fun to be a part of something so exciting and to know we get to spend these next four years watching these students become the people that are going to be.”

Katherine Fuller, a sophomore legal studies major from Columbus and one of the 15 orientation leaders, echoed these sentiments, speaking about her fellow Women’s College students, “You get to meet them before they start classes when everything about college seems so intimidating. Then once they arrive in the fall it is amazing to see how they transform into confident young women. It is just the beginning of their Brenau experience, and it is so amazing to be a part of that transformation.”

These students along with the rest of the Class of 2020 return to Brenau for Orientation on Aug. 24-28 before fall semester classes begin on Aug. 29.
