Professor Devoto is Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator at Brenau University in Gainesville and Norcross, Ga. in the School of Occupational Therapy. Her academic experience includes: serving as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Her research interests include cognitive/functional rehabilitation of service members with mild TBI and PTSD, supported employment for individuals with mental illness and vision rehab for individuals with brain injury. Professor Devoto has worked with individuals with brain injury since 2002, working at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN and the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also worked with individuals with mental illness. Professor Devoto recently worked with service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with MTBI and PTSD. She contributed to a written toolkit developed for Occupational Therapists working in the military to use as a resource for treating service members with brain injuries. Professor Devoto enjoys exercising, painting (as well as various craft projects) and spending time with her family.
